Yorkshire batted first and were soon into their stride with Matthew Weston (67) and Harry Allinson, who shared a partnership of 212 for the the first wicket. By the time the rain came, Yorkshire had scored 266-4 in 42 overs, with Allinson posting a scintillating, unbeaten 155 off 114 balls with 18 fours and 5 sixes.
With Duckworth/Lewis in play, Yorkshire had their score increased to 304 in 42 overs, a stiff target even on a quick Scarborough wicket and fast outfield. Warwickshire lost 3 early wickets and were never really in the hunt, with the wickets shared between George Horbury (1-35), Alex Midgley (3-52), Noah Priestley (3-36), and Clarke Doughney (2-35). Although they did take their foot of the gas in the latter overs, Warwickshire scored 230-9 as Yorkshire ran out comfortable winners by 73 runs.
