as Elite Junior Cricket Coordinator.
Yorkshire cricket this week announced the appointment of Jim Love as the County’s Elite Junior Cricket Coordinator. Employed by the Yorkshire Cricket Board and working out of Headingley, Jim will work closely with the YCCC Academy staff and existing coaches & age group team mangers on the delivery of county age group cricket, district cricket and the pathways elite junior training programmes.
Andrew Watson, YCB Executive Director added ‘’In the last 3 years Jim has coached on the Pathways programmes, managed a Yorkshire age group side and, for this season, served as County Age Group Co-ordinator for our age group sides (U13s- U15s). This is an extension of his coordinator role and we are delighted to have him on board.’’
Martyn Moxon, Director Cricket welcomed the appointment ‘’Jim brings a wealth of cricket experience and leadership skills to this pivotal role in the development of talented young players across the county. With over 20 years first class cricket playing experience and having coached players at all levels, Jim is highly respected within the game.’’
Jim will move into his new role from the beginning of October and commented ‘’I’m delighted at being given the opportunity to take on this role. The depth of talent within junior cricket in Yorkshire is immense and I’m looking forward to working with the dedicated coaches and managers who give so much to developing our talented young cricketers.’’
