Charity on the look out for spare kit.
Project Front Foot is on the look out for any spare kit from cricket clubs as part of a UK-wide kit appeal!
The charity provides kit, coaching and age group matches for the children of Mumbai's Dharavi slum during the November to May season.
In addition to their work in Dharavi, Project Front Foot provides kit packages to schools, orphanages, sports clubs, hospitals and village communities in and around Maharashtra through their Rural Schools Initiative.
Thanks to the support of British Airways, Project Front Foot have, since the autumn of 2009, taken over two tons of clothing and equipment to Mumbai.
Children's participation in sport is a key component of their education and personal development. The charity's aim, through cricket, is to provide increased opportunities for the disadvantaged boys and girls of Dharavi and beyond.
Please take a look at their website (HERE) and have a read of the attached newsletter for further info.
If you or your club have some kit to offer, please get in touch with Steve Archer (s.archer@yorkshirecb.com) for more details. The team will be doing the rounds of kit collection in July, ready for the next season.
