Former 2nd XI Coach takes the lead role.
As Yorkshire Women’s Senior County Squad return to training, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Tharindu Perera as the new Head Coach.
Tharindu, who worked with the Women’s 2nd XI last season, is excited about his new role with the 1st XI and leading them into the summer of 2019. “I really enjoyed working with the 2nd XI last summer and the opportunity now to work with 1st XI is exciting. There is a lot of talent within the group and a wide range of experiences; from England and Yorkshire Diamonds players to the younger talented players coming through. To work with them all and see these players develop is exciting.”
Winter training is the start of the hard work for the players as they prepare for the 2019 season.
The 2019 County Championship season starts for the 1st XI on 5th May, away to Surrey, followed by Hampshire on 6th May.
