Lancashire v Yorkshire U12A Tuesday 1st August 2017 Littleborough CC
Match abandoned due to the weather.
A re arranged date was agreed in late August but Lancashire could not raise a team.
Notts v Yorkshire U12A Monday 7th August 2017 Notts and Arnold CC
YCB won the toss and elected to bat in a 45 over match rearranged from Wednesday 26th July.Matthew Hood top scored with 34 supported by Leo Diffey(29) as YCB posted 134 for 9 which was at least 30 runs short of our target but defendable with accurate bowling backed up by taking our catches.
Notts in reply were 36 for 2 off 12 overs. YCB needed to take wickets regularly to defend the total but Notts opening bat Khadoo batted through for 62no and saw his team through to a 4 wicket win.YCB tried hard led by Leo Diffey(2 for 16) and Matthew Simms(2 for 25) but ultimately YCB did not score enough runs.
YCB 134 for 9(45 overs) Notts 137 for 6
Notts won by 4 wickets.
Taunton Festival 2017
Yorkshire U12A v Berkshire Wednesday 9th August 2017
Rain meant no play on the 1st day .On day 2,two games of 25 overs per innings were played.
YCB won the toss and elected to field due to a green pitch and a drying ground.Berkshire wickets fell at regular intervals led by Caleb Bradford( 3 for 10)and Berkshire were all out for 81.
YCB led by Tom Miller(20) and Leo Diffey(26no) easily knocked off the runs in 17 overs for a 7 wicket win.
Berkshire 81 all out YCB 83 for 3
YCB won by 7 wickets
Yorkshire U12A v Wiltshire Thursday 10th August 2017
YCB again won the toss and elected to field against a Wiltshire side who had beaten Essex in their first game .
Accurate bowling from Charlie Mcmurran(2 for 5) Oliver Walsh(2 for 18) and Caleb Bradford( 2 for 16) managed to restrict Wiltshire to 81 for 7 in their 25 overs backed up by some excellent fielding by Scott Godden and wicket keeper Isaac Light who took 2 stumpings.
Matthew Hood (40 not out) and Scott Godden(16) put on 61 for the 1st wicket as YCB knocked off the runs for a 7 wicket victory.
An excellent performance capping an excellent day for YCB.

Yorkshire U12A v Essex Friday 11th August 2017
Essex won the toss and elected to bat in a 35 over game.
With accurate bowling and keen fielding, Essex were restricted to 95 for 9 in their allotted overs led again by Caleb Bradford( 3 for 12) and well supported by Matthew Simms( 2 for 14)
YCB needed 96 runs to win the tournament but Essex have always given Yorkshire tough games and with the pitch keeping very low, runs were not easy to come by.YCB lost both openers cheaply but Diffey(20) and especially Miller(38) who batted excellently managed to overhaul the Essex total by eventually the margin of 3 wickets after 2 wickets were lost with 2 runs to win.
YCB U12s won their festival for the 2nd successive year.
