- 2016 selections announced.
The 2016 Yorkshire Girls Winter programme has been announced to start in the New Year. Following the U13, U15 & Womens First Team National Championship success, we are keen to replicate this and potentially do better next summer.
The new-look pathway system enables selected Yorkshire players from the previous summer to be rewarded with a place in either Gold, Silver or Bronze Yorkshire Centres for the following Winter.
The EPP Programme has increased from 5 Girls in 2014/15 to 10 Girls in 2015. The successful girls will receive 1:1 coaching to work on specific aspects of their own game and also work with the other EPP Girls chosen this year. Congratulations to the selected 10: Maddie Walsh, Teresa Graves, Rebecca Newark, Hannah Poulter, Adrianna Darlow, Abi Glen, Ellie Rooney-West, Leah Dobson, Rachel Slater & Georgia Draper.
The Gold Pathway Programme Girls are as follows: Georgie Walker, Hannah Greenwood, Maya Cowood-Pierce, Lucy Kettlewell, Abi Glen, Adrianna Darlow, Izzy Bunn, Josie Osborne, Molly Havard, Evie Woodhead, Ellie Rooney-West, Sophie Richardson, Iqra Hussain, Emma-Lou Proctor, Georgie Taylor, Laura Walker, Eve Perrin, Abi Morley (+ Megan Hodkinson at Millfield School).
The Silver Pathway Programme Girls are as follows: Lily Morgan, Eleanor Smith, Rachel Slater, Leah Dobson, Georgia Draper, Fran Goldthorpe, Poppy Schofield, Annie Cardwell, Katie Baines, Ophelia Watson, Phoebe Turner, Katherine Walker, Amy Jobling, Libby fox, Emma Brown, Fenella Hibbert, Rebecca Coe, Millie Bethel, Ella Harris, Tilly Pern.
The Bronze Pathway Programme Girls are as follows: Chloe Jones, Grace Hall, Gabriella Copley, Daisy Stokoe, Anna Broadley Featherstone, Lucy Grice, Chloe Dennis, Joanne Harrington, Frances Lonsdale, Poppy Moss, Lily Bell, Grace Hall, Bethany Slater, Charlotte Middelton, Emily Cowell, Izi Oldroyd, Jess Tully, Shauna Yates, Jess Thompson (still spaces remaining).
Congratulations to all these players on their selection and we wish them well for their winter programmes.
District Centres, ran by the Women & Girls Cricket Development Groups, have already started and these will continue throughout the year with Yorkshire Coaches attending to ensure no girls are missed from the system. The District Centres will be preparing the girls for the 2016 District Cricket Programme, which is a key part of the W&G structure within Yorkshire.
