Yorkshire U15s travelled to Romiley in Cheshire on Sunday, won the toss and batted first. Harry Allinson (35) was soon into his stride but Yorkshire lost wickets at regular intervals and were struggling at 83-4. They were rescued by two mature innings from Yash Vagadia (55) and Rhys Ditta (56) and, with Harry Finch (30) and Tom Douglas (19*) increasing the tempo, Yorkshire posted a competitive 230 on a testing wicket. Cheshire’s reply never really threatened Yorkshire as the bowlers maintaining tight lines combined with sharp fielding as Cheshire were all out for 137. Wickets were shared between Alex Midgley (4-25), Clarke Doughney (3-35), Jack Young (1-36) and Noah Priestley (2-16). A ruthless performance against quality opposition.
