Hameed Abbassi wins 2017 Disability Achiever of the Year.
Hameed Abbassi has been a part of the set up within disability cricket for over 10 years.
Hameed is crucial in the development of junior players; bringing the younger players through using the wealth of experience he has gained. He has undertaken his Level 2 coaching qualification and coaches regularly in the Bradford area. This includes young disabled children, to whom he inspires through his own career path!
As a player, he always works tirelessly to improve his own game, looking for new ways to score runs consistently across his career. He is a reliable member of the County side and even picks up five other members of the squad to travel to away games! He never misses practice or games, home and away, and is a prolific run scorer as an opening bat as well as a valuable wicket taker with his medium pace bowling.
Well done to Hameed on his well deserved award in 2017!
