Bradford MCC Hub has made the final at Lords.
This year the Bradford MCC Foundation Hub are proud to share that both their girls and boys teams have reached the national final held at Lords on Saturday 20th July. Regardless of winning or losing, the opportunity of playing at Lords is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that unites children from diverse backgrounds, highlighting that cricket is a game for everyone. The journey and development of all involved is invaluable.
The MCC Foundation work to make cricket accessible across the country, providing free 10-week training sessions and the chance to play at Lords, which is a dream for many young players. This initiative benefits young people, offering high-level coaching and opportunities they wouldn't otherwise have. The program emphasizes determination, dedication, and discipline, and has helped teams improve significantly, fostering a deep bond among players and their families.
Maia Redhead – Captain, Bradford Girls’ Hub:
‘To be heading to Lords feels quite surreal. I’ve seen the ground on TV multiple times but to think ill be playing on that pitch where England and other teams play is so exciting, and I just can’t believe that I’m able to go.’
