Yorkshire's very own Nazakat Ali picked up the Chance to Shine Street Coach of the Year Award last night at a prestigious awards night held at Lords.

Nazakat won the accolade for his commitment to coaching, his ability to build and develop trusting relationships with children and their parents, and for instilling good values among participants.

Shariq Mumtaz, Managing Director of Yorkshire Cricket Foundation believes Nazakat’s work is definitely worth the recognition it has received.

He said "Showcasing Nazakat's work at the awards night highlighted the huge impact he has had in his local community...it was great to see!"

He has inspired so many young people to learn and develop skills to play Cricket here in Yorkshire through Chance to Shine Street. He is a role model to many who look up to him and an asset to Yorkshire Cricket, he fully deserves this award.”
