After winning the toss and batting first, Yorkshire U19s recovered from a poor start (7 for 2)to post a first innings total of 219. This was boosted by a 10th wicket stand of 60 by the last pair of Ahmed 27 & Taylor 32 not out.
The Yorkshire bowlers then tore into Middlesex reducing them to 59/6 at close on the first day, with the strike bowling of Matt Fisher (3 for 22 in his 5 over spell) being the catalyst. Day two saw Adam Ahmed in the wickets (4 for 44)with Middlesex bowled out for 150.
In the second innings Yorkshire declared at 150-5 setting Middlesex a target of 219 in 33 overs. Middlesex finished 24 runs short with 8 wickets down giving Yorkshire 21 points and Middlesex 9.
Manager Brian Lymbery said "It was an entertaining game for the spectators.We had a young side this year with many of our players at an age which means they can be part of the U19 team in 2017."
