Enjoy Cricket is a fantastic opportunity for Yorkshire based Cricket Clubs, community centres and schools to run coaching days that are fully funded by the Charitable Youth Trust and run by the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation.
The primary aim of the scheme is to give an introduction to cricket for children aged 5 and upwards the opportunity to participate in an organised, fun, coaching environment from as little as £1 per day.
Clubs are eligible for course funding throughout school holiday periods.
The host club/centre must appoint a course administrator who must be a member of ECBCA or YCBCA (if the administrator is not a coach, the head coach must be an affiliate). The course administrator is responsible for the enrolment and registration of participants as well as the marketing of the course. We recommend advertising your course at local cricket clubs, schools, leisure centres, youth clubs and other sporting institutions in your local area. The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation will provide you with official Enjoy Cricket posters and leaflets however we also recommend using social media platforms to further market your course.
The course administrator is also responsible for recruiting coaches and ensuring all paperwork is in date before the commencement of the course. This includes DBS or CRB checks and a minimum of UKCC Level 1. The course administrator will be accountable for the scrutiny of the above credentials.
Course staff will be funded per hour they work on an Enjoy Cricket course.
To ensure coaching standards across the county, YCB community coaches will be available to advise if required, and session plans will be available on request. Centres will be visited throughout the summer to offer support and gain feedback from the coaches about their scheme.
