The Yorkshire Cricket Board have Two Discretionary Grant Aid Schemes:
1. An Emergency Relief Fund to help affiliated clubs
An Emergency Relief Fund to help affiliated clubs
Requisite:
- Open to all YCB Affiliated Clubs – except to those clubs where a player is paid by the club or where there is a 3rd party paying the player
- Applications must be received by e-mail no later than 4 – 6 weeks after the emergency
- The Grant Aid Giving Committee reserve the right to ask for further details if required
Grants up to £500 can be claimed towards:
- Emergency repairs
- Vandalism
- Theft of cricket equipment (i.e. machinery, cricket tackle etc.)
- Help with insurance excess
Grants CANNOT be claimed for:
- Ground Rent
- Rates
- Rent/Hire Charges
- Payment of players
- Payment of individuals
- Payment towards volunteers
Copies of invoices and estimates must be included with the application form
2. Discretionary Development Grant
The emphasis on this grant is support affiliated Clubs who are starting a junior section, with a particular focus on women & girls development and disability development.
Aims:
- To assist clubs in starting a junior section/ team (where none has been previously – at least 2 years)
- To assist clubs in starting a women/ girls team or section
- To assist clubs in starting a disabilities team or section
- To assist clubs with a specific special development project in relation to juniors, women and girls development and disability cricket
Criteria:
- Clubs can claim up to 50% of project cost, to a maximum of £250
- Clubs must be actively working towards or achieved ECB Clubmark
- Clubs must have written support from the local Cricket Development Manager
Funding can be used for:
- Coach bursaries (to attend UKL1, L2 or relevant workshops)
- Named coach(es) must deliver a minimum of 30 hours for the project in the year (otherwise money will be recovered)
- Equipment
- Other innovative ideas approved by the YCB GAG Committee
Funding cannot be used for:
- Ground rent
- Rates
- Rent/Hire charges
- Payment of players
- Payment of individuals
- Payment towards volunteers expenses
An end of season report with data will be required.
YCB Giving Committee will check on activities and encourage at an appropriate juncture of project.
Copies of invoices and estimates must be included with the application form.
Payment will be made solely at the discretion of the YCB Grant Aid Giving Committee.
