Young Disability Performer of the Year.
Despite his tender years, Stuart Butler has undertaken and carried out the hugely demanding role of team captain for the Yorkshire Terriers with a great attitude and dedication.
He has put considerable time and effort into working alongside the coach in relation to team selection and the roles and responsibilities of team members, aiming to follow the overarching ethos of inclusiveness both within the team and the general sport of cricket.
Captaincy in any sport is demanding, but in the Super 9s environment especially so, ensuring all get opportunities. On the field, he provides a calm, supportive presence to all the players and leads by example with his batting, bowling and fielding.
Stuart takes great pride in being the Yorkshire captain and ensures he does all he can to live up to the expectations of his team mates.
Stuart led his Yorkshire Terriers’ side to the Super 9s national finals in 2019, thanks to his, and his side's fantastic efforts this year.
Well done to Stuart for all his achievements and a very richly deserved award.
