Following an open recruitment and interview process, managers and coaches have now been appointed for the Yorkshire Age Group sides for the 2017 season. All positions have been filled for the 1st teams, with the appointment process ongoing for the Development sides (formerly B teams). The appointment will be supported by a team of specialist coaches who will work with elite junior players across the age groups during the summer and winter elite training programmes (Pathways).
Jim Love, Elite Junior Cricket Coordinator said ''We are delighted with the appointments we have made and thank everyone who has expressed an interest in being a part of elite junior cricket in Yorkshire. The calibre of the people we have appointed is impressive, all of whom will bring their own special coaching and managerial skills to support the development of elite junior cricketers in Yorkshire.''
The appointments are a further cog in the ongoing changes to Elite Junior Cricket in the county.
Keith Dickson, Elite Junior Coordinator for the U10s-U12s added ''The candidates we have appointed will compliment the links we are progressing between County Age Group cricket, District Cricket and the Pathways to Excellence winter training programme for Elite Junior Players. I look forward to working with the managers and coaches appointed.''
