Where to look for courses near you.
We have updated our website so it now features a dedicated section for upcoming Safe Hands courses. The page can be found here: http://www.yorkshirecb.com/page/clubs--leagues/child-welfare/available-safe-hands-courses-14178/. In the coming weeks we will be liaising with leagues to arrange more Safe Hands courses throughout Yorkshire.
All cricket clubs have an obligation to appoint a Club Welfare Officer, irrespective as to whether or not they have a junior section at their club. These officers have a remit to provide advice on Safeguarding issues and to ensure that the club adheres to all aspects of Safeguarding. The Club Welfare Officer should attend a ‘Safeguarding and Protecting Children’ workshop accredited by Sportscoach UK and the ECB Safe Hands Workshop.
Our first course date is now live and will soon be joined by many more - so keep an eye on the page for courses near you or contact your league secretary or welfare representative if you are in need of a course in your area. Once the courses have been arranged, those wishing to attend will be able to book via the online booking system. For further information or any other queries regarding the courses, please contact Jack Stockdale, at J.Stockdale@yorkshirecb.com.
