Yorkshire U12A v Cheshire - Match Abandoned
Yorkshire won the toss and fielded in overcast conditions with the threat of rain at any time. Charlie Taylor and Alex Wade opened the bowling and Chesire were soon in trouble in difficult batting conditions, with Alex Wade taking 3-7 and Charlie Taylor 2-5. A rain delay followed after 14 overs. Then Jack Diffey took 1-4 and Ed Burch 1-14. A second bout of heavy rain came after 20 overs and the game had to be abandoned due to a now unfit ground. An excellent bowling and fielding display by Yorkshire in the 90 minutes of play.
Yorkshire U12A 74-3 (Owen Smith 26*) beat Lancashire 73 all out (Alex Wade 3-11) by 7 wickets.
Yorkshire won the toss and fielded in overcast conditions. Lancashire struggled from the start as Yorkshire took wickets at regular intervals. Alex Wade again led the way with 3-11, accompanied by Charlie Taylor 2-9 and Lewis Ainley 2-8. Wood (14) and Parkinson (20) were the only two Lancashire batters who made it to double figures as they were bowled out for 73. The fielding highlight was an outstanding slip catch by Ed Burch diving to his right to take an excellent catch off Jack Diffey.
Yorkshire got off to a steady start but lost three quick wickets. Owen Smith (26*) steadied the ship, supported by Joe Thompson (17*) and Yorkshire coasted home by 7 wickets off 21 overs.
Another very good all round display from Yorkshire. A comprehensive victory!

Yorkshire U12A 180-9 (Zaki Anjam 38, Owen Smith 35, Archie Phillipson 25) beat Warwickshire 143 all out (William Cross 3-16, Alex Wade 3-21) by 37 runs.
Yorkshire won the toss and batted in glorious conditions on a hard pitch and a perfect day for scoring runs. Runs came steadily throughout the innings with Zaki Anjum (38) Owen Smith (35) Archie Phillipson (25) and Tom Fraine (21) setting up a challenging total of 180 in Yorkshire's 45 overs. White was the most successful Warwickshire bowler with 4-36 off his 8 overs.
After an early set up, Warwickshire scored runs regularly, with Hosein leading the way; scoring 59. It looked a well balanced game after 25 overs but the introduction of William Cross (3-16) backed up by Alex Wade (3-21) swung the game Yorkshire’s way as Warwickshire were eventually were bowled out for 143.
Another very good all round performance from the Under 12s in both batting and bowling, with the main development point being batsmen turning their 20s and 30s into match winning 70s and 80s in future games.
