Yorkshire U15A travelled to Nottinghamshire in the last week of May to compete in the Northern T20 tournament.
Yorkshire 149-2 (Nico Georgiou-Nicola 66*, Matthew Weston 57*) beat Norfolk 148 all out (Noah Priestley 4-7, Clarke Doughney 4-31) by 8 wickets.
First up on the Tuesday was Norfolk, who batted first and were soon into their stride, taking the Yorkshire bowlers on. But the bowlers held their nerve and kept pegging Norfolk back as wickets fell; Clarke Doughney taking 4-31 and Noah Priestley 4-7 to bowl Norfolk out for 148 inside 20 overs. Yorkshire lost two early wickets but Nico Georgiou-Nicola (66*) and Matthew Weston (57*) saw them to victory with some intelligent running and powerful boundary striking within in 18 overs.

Yorkshire 148-5 (Harry Allinson 50, Harry Finch 33) beat Durham 145 all out (Matthew Weston 4-25) by 5 wickets.
In the second game Yorkshire played Durham. Durham batted first and posted 145 all out in 20 overs; George Booth taking 2-22, Jack Young 1-25, Noah Priestley 2-24 and Matthew Weston 4–25, to restrict them. Yorkshire’s batting was underpinned by a quickfire 50 from Harry Allinson and 33 from Harry Finch before a Nico Georgiou-Nicola 22* saw them to victory with 3 balls to spare.

Yorkshire 98-0 (Tom Douglas 72*) beat Nottinghamshire 95 all out (Clarke Doughney 3-4) by 10 wickets.
In the final game of the day, Yorkshire were paired up with a Nottinghamshire development team. Yorkshire lost the toss and fielded first. The bowlers maintained a tight line, with George Horbury (2-22) and Clarke Doughney (3-4) to the fore. The pressure was maintained by Noah Priestley (1-12) and Jack Young (2-23) as Notts were all out for 95 .Yorkshire’s openers Tom Douglas and Rhys Ditta soon had the runs knocked off - Douglas with a blistering 72 off 29 balls with seven sixes and six fours as the target was achieved in just 9.3 overs.

Derbyshire 170-5 beat Yorkshire 123 all out (Rhys Ditta 37, George Horbury 27) by 47 runs.
Yorkshire played their semi-final against Derbyshire on day two. Yorkshire won the toss and inserted Derbyshire, who were soon into their stride as Yorkshire’s seamers struggled to maintain control. Yorkshire’s fielding also became ragged as Derbyshire put them under pressure with only Clarke Doughney (2-12 in four overs) able to keep a lid on the Derbyshire scoring, as they totalled 170 in their 20 overs. Yorkshire’s reply started badly and they soon found themselves 32-4 with overs ticking away. Rhys Ditta (37) and George Horbury (27) tried to up the scoring rate but wickets tumbled and Yorkshire were all out for 123 in the 18th over to lose by 47 runs.

Yorkshire 223-7 (Harry Allinson 118, Harry finch 46) beat Durham 202-8 by 21 runs.
In the third/fourth place game, Yorkshire took on Durham. Yorkshire won the toss and batted first this time. They were soon up and running with an innings of awesome power and timing from Harry Allinson, who scored 118 from 48 balls with 12 sixes and 7 fours, well supported by Harry Finch (46), Nico Georgiou-Nicola (23*) and Tom Douglas (24*). Yorkshire totalled 223-7 in their 20 overs. Yorkshire didn’t have things all their own way though, as Durham came out swinging, making use of the short boundaries. But Noah Priestley (2-30) bowled with good control before Jack Young bowled an excellent spell at the death to bowl his four overs for just seventeen runs. Durham finished 21 runs short.
