v Lancs.
The last game of the season for the Yorkshire U19s saw the team produce their best overall display in beating Lancashire to retain the Sanderson Trophy, played for each season between Yorkshire/Lancashire.
Lancashire batted first scoring 242 all out with good bowling performances from Adam Ahmed (3-35), Siraj Sajid (2-18) and Eddie Barnes (2-18). A top class batting performance from openers Harry Brook (148) and Bilal Anjum (110)with a partnership of 268 set-up a Yorkshire reply of 303 to secure a win and an 18 point return. )
The win takes Yorkshire to the top of the league table by 5 points but with Middlesex having a game still to play, the side will probably finish runners up in the 6 county national championship.
Team manager Brian Lymbery commented ''Overall it has been a good season for the team with a good dressing room that gave encouragement to everyone and backed the captain James Logan who did an excellent job. On behalf of myself and Jim Leathley I would like to thank everyone for the support we have received this season.''
