Wendy Brown wins 2017 Clifford Smith Award for Services to Youth Representative Cricket.
Wendy Brown has worked with the Girls County teams since 2007. In fulfilling this role, Wendy works incredibly hard with the County girls all through the season, as well as providing valuable support to the girls attending the Winter Pathways, both at the County and North Yorkshire District schemes.
A number of the girls she coached at U13s have progressed through the County Age Group teams and are now playing for Yorkshire Women’s 1st team and in the new Yorkshire Diamonds squad. Wendy continues to support the girls as they move through the age groups and into senior cricket.
Yorkshire U13s, who Wendy coached from 2007 to 2016, have been very successful and have won the National Finals for the last 4 years.
In addition to her work at Yorkshire, Wendy also works for the ECB as a Talent ID Scout and is often seen at representative games for all age groups.
Wendy has been an amazing role model for girls who want to play cricket at the higher levels as well as anyone wanting to take on a coaching role.
